100th Post - Get Your Contest On!!!

Ok. So now for my 100th posting, I am holding a contest.

Yeah! Here's what it's going to be:

1. One entry for posting a comment about an unusual/spontaneous thing you did (nothing that harms someone/something else or anything profane). i.e. One thing I've done is that I went sledding in my swimsuit my freshman year with a bunch of other friends.

2. One more entry if you blog about this contest (make sure you have a link to your blog post in your comment)
3. A winner will be chosen using Random.org
4. Winner will be chosen on January 15th!

Now the lovely item up for grabs:

Yes. It is what you think it is.....a chap stick cozy key chain! Yes, I'll even include a new tube of chap stick (Yes it's going to be a new tube of Eskimo Kiss (shown in 2nd photo) from Biggs and Featherbelle).

ALSO: Send an email to onlyifbliss at yahoo dot com so I can contact you if you win! Even if you sign in with your email to comment, Blogger doesn't show me what it is, so this step is really important. If I don't have your email I'll have no way to get a hold of you and I'll have to give your prize to someone else! How sad would you be if that happened? Just tell me the name you used to comment with, and don't worry, I won't use your email for anything else other than contacting you if you win.

Watch this space for (hopefully) a nifty contest!
(Just in time for the New Year)

Get a chance to win a hand knitted item.

Also, I managed to get my grandmother on my digital camera being silly.

I think they're self explanatory when you see them

Winning Left and Right!

OK. August is when my local county has it's Ag. Fair and any county resident can enter stuff to try and win ribbons (and nominal amounts of $ - first place usually garners somewhere around $3-$5, well, the knitting & crocheting categories at least).

This year I've entered about 6 pieces into the county fair and all have won ribbons.

I made these pair of fingerless mittens in like a couple of days. I was highly impressed with my speedy efficiency.

I was so relieved when this scarf was finished! It seemed that it took FOREVER to finish but I was happy with the end result. I unraveled the edges for fringe and was tickled pink (ha ha) to see how well the fringe held up (and actually TWISTED) after a cycle in the washer and dryer. I don't have a pic with the fringe (finished the scarf just in time for the county fair) but these other photos give a good idea.

This is a had that I saw in the movie "Golden Compass" (the books are 1,000,000 better than the movie version - granted movies can not capture 100% of the book version, but you can get the essence of it and still maintain a reasonable stream of logic). But I liked the hat.

Cookie Monster Hat. I think this won 2nd place to a hat that had more color. Meh.

Last but not least, my glove hat. With this one b/c i had so many hats going into the county fair, I needed something to qualify it to go into another category. So, it's a had and fingerless glove set.

They all won ribbons (the pink scarf got first) and I'm glad that I have another year to make more stuff.
